Update

Well, it's been a long, long time since I've posted. Mostly because I've been soo busy with work, kids and all the other duties that comes along with being a mom and wife.

Thanks to all who congratulated us on the twins! It's very exciting (and also a little scary), but I know that God will not give me what I can't handle. I've got about 9 weeks left and it feels like it's taking forever! I'm huge and uncomfortable already. In order to sleep I have to have four pillows surrounding me so that my back doesn't hurt. I feel bad for Ben because my pillows and belly take up the whole bed. haha The twins are doing very well, thankfully. I've had to go to the doctor every two weeks for about two months now and have ultrasounds every month to make sure they're growing together and one is not 'stealing' all the nutrients from the other. They've been staying within one ounce of eachother so far, so that's very encouraging. This last ultrasound they were able to see some hair growing on their heads -- so cool! They've been moving around a bit -- kicking my bladder and ribs. It's the strangest feeling having two growing inside of you. One will kick on the outer part of my belly and the other on the inner part. It's soo hard to explain, but it feels very strange. I've had to stop working for the time being because my cervix is starting to shorten too much for the stage I'm at. Nothing too serious, but the doctors want me off my feet so that it doesn't keep progressing. I go in again on Friday for a follow-up. Please keep that in prayer!

The boys are doing very well. They're getting along (for the most part) -- playing well together. Such a blessing! It's amazing to see how much Gabe wants to do everything Matthew does ... and he actually succeeds in some things (jumping off of furniture, swinging on ropes, playing sports). Matt's very excited about his baby sisters. He asks me if I'm going to be pushing them out every time I go to the doctor. He's got to feel them kick a few times and was really excited about that. Gabe has no idea what's going on. They're both turning into wonderful helpers. They love to cook, clean and do dishes. Yeah!

Well, I've gotta go get them some food. I'll post a few pictures from a small storm we had a couple weeks ago. They had lots of fun playing and trying to make 'snowbasketballs'.

Till next time ....
