So, he resorted to hitting the container with the spoon and then laughing at him. Poor spider! He did survive the torture, but was put to rest quickly thereafter.

I don't know what he was trying to do to the spider. It didn't respond to his yelling.

I caught a spider in the tub and wanted to show the kids. At first Gabe was really cautious, then he became more comfy realizing it wasn't going to get out of the container. It was really funny!

Catch of the Day!

Our neighbors brought fishing gear to the Park and let Matthew use their rod. The first cast they caught the biggest catch of the day! A catfish! Matthew was apprehensive of the wiggling creature on the string and stayed clear after reeling it in. 

Looking at the Pigs

Gabe loves pigs for some reason. He loves to carry around the plastic pig Grammy Kate got from the dollar store and try desperately to make the pig noises. It's very cute!

Old McDonald Had A Farm

We went to Suson Park today and got to see some farm animals along with firetrucks pumping water out of the lake and spraying it back in through the hose ... very cool!

I don't know where he got this idea from but he insisted that Ben put his feet like this when he went up the tree. He likes copying dad. 

Curious Matthew

Matthew saw some guys two streets from our house climbing up a tree and cutting down branches. So, he was curious and wondered what it would be like to be a monkey/limb trimmer. He wanted to get up in the tree, but didn't know how. He decided to ask his mom to help him climb up the branches ----- BUT mom was mean and only let him sit on the lowest branch if I was there to hang onto him. Oh well, dreams can only last so long.

He did have lots of fun sitting in the tree.

Here's Matthew ... the other night I made cookies for an early birthday present to myself, haha! After dinner he was allowed two cookies because he finished all the dinner on his plate. We went on a bike ride and when we came back had some things to do, so we did our thing and let the kids play. Soon after we got back I was on the computer and Matthew comes up to me and says, "I want to be a good boy." I say, "I want you to be a good boy too!" I turn to say more when I see this chocolate face! He had stolen two more cookies off the counter and eaten them!! Oh man ... the sugar high this kid had was AMAZING! Everything was funny, he was jumping everywhere and wouldn't go to sleep for anything. Oh well, it makes for a funny story!
