Little Sins

Spurgeon says you should be weary of little sins that creep up in your life. It's so true that -especially in our culture now- things that people would have been repulsed at 50-100 years ago, is now totally acceptable. We've gradually gone down the drain. Why is this? When did our society go from good to evil? How can we change these things? Is it too late to start? Should we just give up because we've already fallen so far that there's no hope? I don't think so. How many times did Isreal sin against God (some sins are even similar to what's happening here)? How many times did God tell them He wanted them to return to their first love, that He wanted them back?

But how do we turn around a country that is so set in it's ways? It's really hard to think that it's possible. Not everyone is called to a become a missionary, that's for sure -- I'm definately one that's not called to go to other countries. How can a woman with two children who stays at home most of the time taking care of her family make a difference in this world? Make the territory even smaller ... in your city? How can you make a Godly example when you don't talk to people outside of your own church community? What do we need to do to reach out to the lost, instead of staying in our own 'comfort zone'?

What are some things you'd have to sacrifice (in your everyday schedule) in order to go out and talk with people about Christ? They say that your priorities will show through in what you do every day, what you make time for. What is it that I make time for that's not really necessary?

It's definately something to think about ...
